Musicians Seminar returns to Los Angeles

Los Angeles Salsa Musicians Seminar 2012 May 22- May 25, 2012

Salsa Musicians seminar is a four day intensive individual and group instruction that aims to provide the students participating with the training and tools necessary to play and perform as part of a Salsa band.

The students are provided with four professional arrangements that include mp3’s and music charts of the songs to be learned and performed at the 14th Annual Los Angeles Salsa Congress.

The LA Salsa Musicians Seminar is hosted by Albert Torres Productions and directed by three time Grammy award winning pianist, arranger, producer, Oscar Hernández. Classes will be taught by some of the top musicians in the Latin music scene.

Instruments: Piano, Bass, Percussion (Timbales, Congas and Bongos), Trumpet, Sax/Flute, Trombone, Vocals.

Schedule:

Tuesday, May 22nd , Wednesday, May 23rd, and Thursday, May 24th

10 am – 1 pm – Individual Instruction

2:30 pm to 5:30 pm – group/ensemble rehearsals

Friday, May 25th

10 am -1 pm – group/ensemble rehearsals

2:30 pm to 5:30 pm – group/ensemble rehearsals

The ensemble of select participants will perform as part of the opening act of the Salsa Congress Friday night concert, featuring Oscar D’Leon.

Registration fees: $250 (Two hundred and fifty dollars) plus a $50 (fifty dollars) non-•• refundable application fee.
